With over 45 years of experience in basement waterproofing, Block Solid Masonry will solve your wet/damp basement problems. Whether it's leaking/damp walls, mold issues or wet/ damp floors we are the company that gets the job done right the first time.
This is accomplished by channeling water through drain tile and pea gravel under your floor to a central point in the basement. The crock collects water until it reaches a specific level and then is pumped out to a designated area with proper pitch away from the house. The drain tile is lined with a fabric (sleeves) to act as a filter to stop dirt, sand, and silt from entering the drain tile.
Weep holes are drilled in every core of the block foundation below floor level to ensure any standing water in the wall is released. French drains are installed along the perimeter of the basement wall as a final messure to guarantee the basement stays dry. With existing mold issues, mold killer can be applied and then walls can be coated with desired sealer.
This consists of excavating around the perimeter of the house down to the footing. Weep holes are drilled in every core of the block foundation to release any standing water within the block. Two layers of drain tile are ran along the perimeter of the house. The drain tile is lined with a fabric (sleeves) to act as a filter to stop dirt, sand, and silt from entering the drain tile. Walls are then coated with a quick wall water proof foundation coat. The excavated channels are filled with pea gravel up to 30 inches below grade. The remaining 30 inches are back filled with topsoil.
